Is There a Doctor in the House?

Isaac's cousin Dante from Sacramento has come to visit with us this week. They started the fun

on Friday with a camping trip to Courtright with both of Isaac's Grandfathers and his Dad. On Saturday they went fishing in a boat and both Isaac and Dante caught their first fish. Unfortunately, Aaron forgot the sun screen so Isaac also came back with a terrible sunburn. It hasn't stopped the fun though as they have spent the week playing from sun up to sun down! Yesterday, as they played in the family room, Isaac thought it would be a good idea to dance on Dante's back when he suddenly lost his balance. Down he came crashing into the coffee table and when he got up, his head was covered in blood with a gash right over his eye brow! Yikes, blood everywhere! With Isaac in the capable hands of his Mom and both Ryan Grandparents, we tried to determine whether we should take him to the emergency room in Clovis. A little sticky as their insurance is not yet in affect! But wait, then we remember......Dad's a doctor, even if this isn't his area of expertise, maybe he can do something! A quick call to Aaron's office and home he comes with his suture kit in hand. Dad and Mom handle everything beautifully as Aaron stitches him up at the kitchen table while Jennifer reassures him. Isaac was totally brave, he even remembered to say several prayers to Heavenly Father for help. Prayers answered, wound closed, crisis averted we're on to other adventures!
