Why Linda Saunders is right for Relief Society

And out of the Book of Romans, chapter 13 verse 11...And that, knowing time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed......Looks like the girls got the message!

This past Sunday brought another change to the Clovis 2nd ward Relief Society Presidency. Linda Saunders was sustained as the new Enrichment counselor much to the chagrin of the Gospel Doctrine class. I totally expected some dissenting votes, but voila, somehow we snuck this one past everyone.

While in Nauvoo last fall, I noted the effect of Linda's teaching efforts on a sample group of ward members. Men, you only have yourselves to blame! Clearly your delegation wasn't paying close attention while the women, on the other hand, were enraptured. Linda surely belongs in Relief Society where she will be truly appreciated.

  1. Those are some funny pictures !! Were they staged? I would be happier about Linda's new call if I got to come to RS !! But alas I would be missing out on the cutest class, the Sunbeams !!

I will enjoy her while I am in R.S. She has an awesome smile and I love her laugh. I have really enjoyed R.S. lately, I think the Women are opening up and sharing more.. We need that..

  5. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed Sunday School, it made me nervous every Sunday. It is with trepidation that I join the ranks of Linda & Susan, they are both doing such a good job and I hope I can fulfill my calling as well as they do.
