Hello everyone! As a technologically challenged person, be patient with me as I learn about blogging. Fortunately for me, I have a wonderful, and might I add, patient friend in Susan who is my blogging mentor.
Life is good right now in my little section of Lothlorien. Having three children living in the area affords me the opportunity to see my adorable local grandchildren. Yesterday was one of our bi-monthly Sunday family dinners and the house was once again bustling with the noise of children and grown up children too. Christopher, the ever fun uncle, pulled out his glow sticks and we all had fun watching Logan, Madie and Ansley find interesting ways to entertain themselves with them. We saw glow-in-the dark sword fights, clever attempts at hoola hooping, and of course, everyone was accessorized in bracelets, necklaces and halos.
I must recommend Susan Tanner's chicken pillow recipe which can be found on the Clovis 2nd R.S. blog. I served it last night and my family raved about it. Kevin graciously agreed to fix his famous crepes which were deee-licious.
After dinner, we got to see baby Claire try to take a step or two and then ended the evening with story time with the grandchildren. The books of choice were 'the night before Christmas' and grandma's special Christmas around the World pop-out book. Ya, I know, Christmas is over...but the spirit lives on.
So, as many of my friends have done, I am choosing a word for my blog to describe an attribute I want to emulate...GRATITUDE! I am grateful for the blessings in my life, the gospel, family and friends.
