Mom's Surprize 80th Birthday Party

I'm baaaaaackkkk! My mom recently had her 80th birthday and we threw her a great birthday bash! It started with secretly bringing my Aunt Connie and my sister-in-law Carol from Utah. They flew into Oakland so of course, we first had to see San Francisco. We went on a bay cruise, then went across the Golden Gate Bridge.

I took them to the Palace of Fine Arts, which was a place they had never even heard of before.

We took pictures north of the bridge.

Lombard street is a must see.

Then we went home and prepared for the party. My mom belongs to a folk dancing group from Fresno who were some of the special guests that were invited. They organized a special dance for the night of the party. Here you can see mom enjoying the 'chicken dance' one of her favorites.

The week that followed the party we enjoyed going to Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks. My Aunt thought they both looked like scenes straight out of 'Lord of the Rings'.

Two sisters, best friends!
